Wash and chop the figs, remove stems and seeds from chilies, and measure out all ingredients.

Combine figs, chilies, sugar, and lemon juice in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat.

Lower heat and simmer the mixture for around 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before transferring to sterilized jars.
